Susan McGhee

Chief Executive

Susan has a long and varied career in the early education and childcare sector and brings with her lots of skills, knowledge and exciting ideas for extending and enhancing our services.

Susan is a mum to three daughters and used traditional nursery and out of school services for their care as they were growing up.

Lesley Tait

Dundee

Lesley is a highly qualified and experienced Childcare Manager, she has been in the childcare sector for 20+ years and has experience in a variety of different roles.

Lesley has been with FCSS since its inception and has seen the service develop from a bright idea to a wonderful childcare provision.

Maureen Rennie

Head of Additional Support Services and Regional Lead for Aberdeenshire

Maureen is an experienced childcare manager who takes responsibility for delivery of our services across Aberdeenshire.

Maureen has a BA in Childhood Practice and the NNEB (Nursery Nurses Examination Board) qualification.

Fiona Ednie

Head of Workforce Strategy and Regional Lead for Highland and Moray
Inverness

With over 20 years’ experience in the childcare sector in Highland, a BA in Social Studies from the University of Strathclyde, as well as SVQ5 in Management, Fiona is a highly qualified Childcare Manager. Fiona started as an Early Years Advisor with Care and Learning Alliance in 1998, until 2004 when she secured the Development Manager’s post to start up Direct Childcare as a separate organisation.

Canelle Friis is a member of the Project Management Institute, she has a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of South Africa and is currently completing a BA(Hons) in Economics through the Open University.

Alison Findlater

Flexibility Pathway Development Manager

Alison joined the team in July 2019 as Flexibility Pathway Development Manager and has been helping co-design the new package with parents, nursery managers and the development team. She is always looking for input from parents and managers to ensure the design of the package is right for everyone so if you have any thoughts or would like to pilot our new package, please contact her.

Susan is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland having qualified as a Chartered Accountant 2016. For almost 9 years she has worked within an accountancy practice environment, preparing accounts, tax returns and undertaking audits. Throughout this time, she has specialised in the charity sector, working with several large charities across Scotland.

Anne-Marie joined the organisation in 2008 when she started as a sessional worker. Throughout the last 12 years she has developed her skills and knowledge, allowing her to progress into roles such as Senior Practitioner in all our settings, and Assistant Manager. During her time with FCSS she has achieved her BA in Childhood Practice and SVQ 4 qualifications.

Lynda Young

Flexible Childcare Services Manager
Dundee

Lynda has lots of fabulous experience in early learning and childcare services and supports our team in ensuring the experience offered to our children is fun, safe, happy and meets their individual needs. A great Lead Practitioner by day, in her spare time Lynda enjoys spending time outdoors, especially at the beach. She also bakes terrific cakes, yum!

Sessional Support Team

Supplementary to our Management and Core Teams we have a fabulous Sessional Support Team consisting of colleagues who work varied shifts to best meet the needs of our service users.
