Head of HR and Health & Safety Compliance.
Fiona has worked in the childcare sector for 25 years. She joined FCSS in 2020 as Regional Lead for the Highlands, moving her way up through the organisation as Head of Workforce Strategy where she supported the team in areas including HR, Health & Safety, Training and Development. One of her proudest achievements was to gain SQA Accreditation so that FCSS can now offer qualifications in a new module Flexibility Within the Childcare Environment.
Prior to FCSS Fiona led an organisation called Direct Childcare delivering mobile creche, sitter services and a large staffbank in Highland. She firmly believe that people are our most valuable resource and strives to ensure they feel valued and safe.
As an animal lover, Fiona volunteers with Springer Spaniel Scotland and helps to re-home them (in addition to spoiling her own).
She volunteers in the coffee shop at Highland Hospice. When she’s not making a difference to the lives of people and animals, she loves foreign travel.
