What’s your Name?
Hi I’m John. I live in Inverurie with my wife and 2 children.
Which service do you use?
My 15 year old daughter attends Flexible Childcare Services Scotland’s Inverurie Additional Support Needs Group twice a week.
What made you initially choose FCSS as your childcare provider?
My wife and I, and the rest of our family, needed some help. Bryna is an amazing girl, so full of life and passion but her needs are complex, she needs constant attention and she cannot do anything for herself.
We were spending so much time giving Bryna the support she needed that we had little time left for ourselves and the rest of the family. This caused quite a lot of stress to me and my wife and we could see that our son Chase was not getting the attention he needed or deserved.
We approached Aberdeenshire Council to see what help was available and their Social Services Team referred us to FCSS.
How has our ASN Group helped you, your daughter and your family?
From the very outset we could see a huge difference not just with Bryna but for the whole family.
Bryna really enjoys going to the group and playing with her new peers. She loves the staff who support her independence, her social skills with her peers and help her to feel part of her community. We can see how much this positive influence is improving her wellbeing.
The service also gives my wife and I, and our son, the respite we need. We can now spend time with each other and give our son the attention and support he deserves. On the whole the entire family unit are closer and happier.
Would you recommend our services and why?
I would really recommend FCSS to anyone, the FCSS team are really friendly and very helpful and the service is absolutely excellent.
