Fintry Mains Childcare & Community Hub was delighted to join numerous other charities, including What Matters to You and Dundee Bairns to support this year’s Dundee Play Festival.
The Dundee Play Festival is an annual celebration that ran over four-days from the 11th-14th June 2026.
The festival, which is funded by NHS Tayside Charitable Foundation, Northwood Trust and Foundation Scotland, was created by the Dundee Play Forum to support community wellbeing and to recognise play as essential to healthy communities and thriving cities.
In Fintry Mains the team, led by Nina Hepburn, created an open air fun day in the nursery garden with Construction Play areas, Mud Kitchens and a Lego and Book Library which was all open to the Fintry Community.
The event allowed us to open our doors to new audiences, share our space with the wider Fintry community, and support local children and families who might not have access to outdoor spaces.
Events like the Dundee Play Festival highlight the importance of community spaces in supporting the arts, and we were proud to play our part in making this year’s festival a success.
We’d like to thank everyone who helped with the organisation, all the families who made it along and to everyone who helped to make the day so special. We look forward to welcoming more events like this in the future.
