Early Learning & School Age Childcare
FCSS was created after it was found that parents were unable to accept offers of employment due to a lack of flexible childcare. In our early learning and childcare settings we offer flexible, book by the hour childcare where parents can change their bookings each week and only pay for the childcare they use.
Thanks to this model more and more the parents using our services are reporting that they are saving money on childcare, that they are in full or part time employment and that they are increasing their household income.
Our School Age Childcare options are also giving parents the wraparound childcare they need to stay in, or start, full time employment further reducing parental unemployment and therefore child poverty.
Building on this model of flexibility, accessibility and by always putting children and families at the centre of all we do, we have created a range of services which include:
Early Learning & Childcare
Our early learning and childcare settings operate on a flexible model allowing parents to book childcare by the hour, change their bookings each week and only pay for the hours they use. The model has been specifically designed to reduce costs and support parents back into education or employment.
This is a huge contrast to the standard model of childcare where parents are forced to book fixed blocks of time which can be expensive and don’t always meet the needs of families.
Workplace Nurseries
Finding flexible childcare that fits into the working day has always been tricky but now workplaces across Scotland can work with us to create bespoke childcare solutions at their premises. This could include:
- Delivering opening hours that reflect your business hours
- An hourly booking service suitable for flexible or part time employees
- Tailored packages that meet both employees’, and their children’s, needs
Out of School Clubs
Our Out of School Clubs have been recognised by funders, charity partners and local and national government as exceptional services for the children and families who use them.
All of our clubs are unique and they are all designed to meet the needs of the children and families that use them, they all provide children with a unique learning experience before and after school and throughout the school holidays.
